JCT says:

after 2 months, the screen would not turn on properly, it showed black lines – called customer service, they asked me to send a picture which I did. Their response was “you must have dropped it, so it’s not covered under warranty”. The kobo was never dropped and they did not even want it returned to look at it, they made their decision based on the picture I sent and nothing else, they refused to give a return authorization and would not let me speak to a supervisor.”
